Bria Adderley-Williams was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2021 and joined Visser and Associates, PLLC, the same year. She brings a strong work ethic, a commitment to helping clients, and a true passion for the law to her new role.
While obtaining her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, Bria maintained a strong academic record and amassed significant and diverse legal experience. She interned with the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office and worked on criminal cases at the trial and appellate levels. During her internship, Bria managed her own cases, and she took the lead on multiple trials and hearings as the first chair. Additionally, Bria worked as a Student Attorney with the MSU Animal Welfare Clinic where she advocated for the rights and protection of captive, wild animals within the United States. Bria also participated in several extracurricular activities including the Black Law Students Association and a Summer semester abroad at a top law school in Bialystok, Poland.
Before law school, Bria obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. After completing her undergraduate degree, Bria served the Daytona Beach community as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties. While at United Way, she created and organized financial literacy programs, organized the VITA free tax preparation program, and wrote grants to secure funding for various service projects. Bria relocated to Michigan in 2015 and worked for Farmers Insurance Group in the Commercial Billing Department for two years.
