Donald R. Visser
Don Visser concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, construction law, liens, business law, and collections / creditors rights. He is recognized as an expert attorney dealing with zoning and boundary disputes and water issues for homes, vacation homes, cottages, condominiums and businesses. He also has been the primary attorney for multi-million dollar cases involving discrimination and wrongful death claims.
Don formed Visser and Associates, PLLC, in 2005 after practicing for over 30 years with Visser and Bolhouse, which was a mainstay in the Grandville community for decades. He has built a reputation for attacking and undertaking difficult, complex cases. His practice includes acting as lead attorney in multiple precedent-setting cases in the Michigan Supreme Court and Michigan Court of Appeals involving the Land Division Act, Construction Lien Act, Builders Trust Fund Act, and Michigan’s conversion statute providing for treble damages.
Don is also a certified, trained mediator (since 2003) and designated mediator for many Michigan Circuit Courts. His Kentwood offices are set up for mediation with several private conference rooms, free parking and unlimited coffee.
